Pelangi Budaya Bumi Merapi 2009 penuh Batik

Bregodo Bremoro Geni dari Dowangan Banyuraden mengikuti Kirab Pelangi Budaya Bumi Merapi, Rabu (2/12) yang diselenggarakan oleh Dinpar. Kab. Sleman di Jalan Magelang, Sleman. Kirab tahun yang menempuh jarak sekitar tiga kilometer dari Lapangan Mlati hingga Lapangan Denggung. Kirab kali ini diikuti lebih dari 4000 peserta dari berbagai kalangan kelompok seni.

Kelompok budaya meliputi bregada prajurit tradisional, kesenian tradisional yaitu kuntulan, badui, emprak, topeng poleng, wayang orang, putri sigrak, dan paguyuban budaya, komunitas mahasiswa dan perguruan tinggi. Kelompok pariwisata dan batik meliputi perhotelan, travel agent, para pengusaha batik, desa-desa wisata, dsb.

Sedangkan acara pendukung event Pelangi Budaya Bumi Merapi yang ditampilkan berupa pentas seni budaya yang meliputi jathilan, kobrasiswa, macapat, dolanan anak, dadhung awuk, barongsai dan karawitan anak.

Karnaval Pelangi Budaya Bumi Merapi ini merupakan kegiatan budaya yang merupakan wujud nyata dari keanekaragaman potensi budaya dan seni di Kabupaten Sleman yang dieksplorasikan melalui kreativitas dan inovasi para peserta karnaval.

Peserta kirab terdiri dari pejalan kaki dan kendaraan hias. Semua peserta mengenakan pakaian batik juga ornament batik pada setiap kendaraan. Hal ini sengaja dilakukan dalam rangka memperingati pengukuhan batik sebagai warisan khas leluhur Indonesia dari UNESCO.

Event ini diharapkan menjadi sarana aktualisasi sekaligus sebagai media internalisasi potensi seni dan budaya di kalangan para pelaku seni dan budaya. Tak hanya itu, kegiatan ini juga diharapkan mampu menjadikan wahana apresiasi positif bagi masyarakat umum dan wisatawan.
